Camas Farmers Market
I’ll be returning to the scene of my first gig as “Fiddler on the Loop” at the Camas Farmer’s Market (https://camasfarmersmarket.org/) on Wednesday, June 11, from 5-7pm. Come down to get some fresh veggies & fruit, grab a bite, and while you’re eating that bite on the lawn of the Camas Library (highly recommended) you can also “ingest” a few fiddle loops as a healthy appetizer (zero calories guaranteed!). If you do one or more of those things, be sure to come by & say hi!
Hood River Farmers Market
I’m super pleased to be returning to play at the Hood River Farmers Market for two Saturdays this summer (June 14 & October 18) from 10am-1pm. It’s a great market with lots of local vendors and a fairly laid-back vibe where folks are hanging out as much as shopping. Plus, it’s just a stone’s throw from the Columbia and less than an hour’s drive from Mount Hood, and excellent breweries are just a few blocks away. Hmmm….
Vancouver (USA) Farmers Market
I’ll be doing live fiddle looping at the Downtown Vancouver Farmers Market from 11am-1pm on Saturday, June 21. Grab a bite and linger for a tune or two!
East Vancouver Farmers Market
I’ll be doing live fiddle looping at the East Vancouver Farmers Market from 11am-1pm on Thursday, July 3 - just before all the boomies start up. This is a smaller market with some good food trucks & a nice separate stage for music. The stage is big enough for the audience to be on stage as well, which is necessary if it’s sunny because there’s no shade anywhere else. If you’re thinking of coming, bring a chair and join me in the shade!

Vancouver (USA) Farmers Market
I’ll be doing live fiddle looping at the Downtown Vancouver Farmers Market from 11am-1pm on Saturday, September 13.
Hood River Farmers Market
This will be my second time playing at the Hood River Farmers Market this summer, although neither date was technically during summer. The market goes from 10am-1pm & has lots of local vendors and a fairly laid-back vibe where folks are hanging out as much as shopping. Plus, the Fruit Loop is RIGHT THERE and excellent breweries are there for the sampling on the return trip. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
Lane Cellars (Camas) - Private Event
This is a private event. But, in addition to being a fun place to hang out and sample some PNW wines, Lane Cellars (in downtown Camas) also has live music every Friday & Saturday night, & in the process they’re supporting local musicians. Very cool!
Enspire Arts Community Concert
The Enspire Arts Community Concert is about celebrating emerging and established musicians in the greater Vancouver area. Sponsored by Enspire Arts, it features four Enspire Arts Ambassadors (all high-school-aged students) will perform along with music professionals from the community. There will be dancing, singing, and instrument playing of various sorts. I’ll be playing a fiddle piece with Isabel Rush, a violin student who is bravely stepping into the world of fiddling that I’ve been working with since the fall of 2024, as well as doing a solo looping piece. Please come and support our local arts scene!
Non-performance performance at UUCV
A non-performance performance (i.e., a time to chill while listening to live music) at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Vancouver (UUCV)
First Friday Unplugged @ LiveWell Camas - Fiddler on the Loop
On Friday, November 1, I’ll be playing at the LiveWell Camas Yoga studio’s “First Friday Unplugged” event series held during Camas’ monthly First Friday festivities. Despite the event title, I’ll be plugged in — but I pinky promised that I’ll keep it quiet.
Gorge Grown Harvest Dinner 2024 - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be providing background music for a farm-to-table event sponsored by the Gorge Grown Food Network in Hood River. For all the deets visit their website at https://secure.givelively.org/event/gorge-grown-food-network/gorge-grown-harvest-dinner-2024
Vancouver Farmers Market - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be doing live fiddle looping at the Vancouver Farmers Market from 11am-1pm on Saturday, September 21. This is the first year since the pandemic that the VFM is hosting live music, so yahoo for that! It’s a great market right next to Esther Short Park with lots of food & shady places to sit.
Fiddler on the Loop - Private Event
Sorry, this one’s private — sometimes live loopers can be that way.
East Vancouver Farmer's Market - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be doing another round of live fiddle looping at the East Vancouver Farmers Market from 11am-1pm on Thursday, August 29 - just before the Labor Day weekend. This is a smaller market with some good food trucks & a nice separate stage for music. The stage is big enough for the audience to be on stage as well (last year a bunch of dancing kids joined me on stage), which is necessary if it’s sunny because there’s no shade anywhere else. Also, bring a chair, ‘cause there aren’t many comfy sitting options!
Hood River Farmers Market - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be doing live fiddle looping at the Hood River Farmers Market from 10am-1pm on Saturday, August 3. This will be my first time playing at the Hood River market, but I’ve been there before as a consumer and it’s big with lots of good food options. If memory serves there aren’t many shady places to sit and listen, so this will be more of an “atmospheric” gig.
Vancouver Arts & Music Festival - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be live looping at the Vancouver Arts & Music Festival on Friday, August 2, from 2-3 pm (truthfully I’ll only be playing from 2:10-3:50, since the time slot includes setup & soundcheck; yikes!). The Festival has multiple music venues — they’ve got me playing at the Phil Arnold Way Community Stage. Come by & say hi!
Beaverton Farmers Market - Fadin' by 9
Fadin’ by 9 makes its second appearance of the summer at the Beaverton Farmers Market on Saturday, July 27, from 8:30am-1:00pm. Beaverton is a huge market with lots of great produce and has a separate, mostly shady space with lots of chairs where you can sit, eat the brunch/lunch you’ve picked up from one of the market food vendors, and listen to music. We’ve got a bunch of new tunes including a bluegrass version of Sweet Caroline - c’mon down and sing along!
Summer Fest at the O.O. Howard House, Fort Vancouver - Fadin’ by 9
My band Fadin’ by 9 will be playing outdoors at the O.O. Howard House in Fort Vancouver as part of the Fort Vancouver Historic Trust’s Summer Fest music program. Head to https://www.thehistorictrust.org/calendar/summer-fest/ for the deets!

Camas Farmer's Market - Fiddler on the Loop
I’ll be doing live looping at the Camas Farmer’s Market from 5-7pm on June 19. The Camas market is a great place to get fresh produce and features many local vendors — plus, there’s a nice shady lawn right behind the market where you can chill, eat some food, and get a behind-the-scenes (literally) view of live looping.
Beaverton Farmer's Market - Fadin' by 9
I’ll be playing fiddle with Fadin’ by 9, a Vancouver-based bluegrass band, at the Beaverton Farmers Market from 8:30-1pm on Saturday June 15. Beaverton is a huge market with lots of great produce and has a separate, mostly shady space with lots of chairs where you can sit and listen to music. We’ve got a bunch of new tunes including a bluegrass version of Sweet Caroline - c’mon down and sing along!

Camas Farmer’s Market
I’ll be playing a second time this summer at the excellent Camas Farmer’s Market (https://camasfarmersmarket.org/), this time on Wednesday, September 13, from 5-7pm. Come on down to get some of the last fresh veggies & fruit of the season, grab a gnosh for supper, and while you’re gnoshing on the lawn of the Camas Library (highly recommended) you can also “ingest” a few fiddle loops (almost as good as chocolate-chip ice cream). And, if you’re there when I’m there, please stop by to say hi (a great thing about looping is, the music continues even if the looper stops to talk with people!).

East Vancouver Farmer’s Market
I’ll be playing again at the East Vancouver Farmer's Market on Thursday, August 17, from 11am-1pm. The amphitheater there is really terrific with great acoustics and there’s a number of good food trucks. If you come, bring something to hide yourself from the sun; there’s no shade except on the stage (which is totally cool to sit in!).

East Vancouver Farmer’s Market
I’ll be playing at the cozy East Vancouver Farmer's Market on Thursday, July 6, from 11am-1pm. The EVFM is a smaller market that’s tucked into the growing neighborhood around the Columbia Tech Center. There’s some good food there (and the HUB & La Provence are across the parking lot) and it’s a fine place to grab a bite for lunch. If you make it over there, be sure to come by & say hi!

Camas Farmer’s Market
I’ll be playing at the excellent Camas Farmer’s Market (https://camasfarmersmarket.org/) on Wednesday, June 14, from 5-7pm. Come down to get some fresh veggies & fruit, grab a bite, and while you’re eating that bite on the lawn of the Camas Library (highly recommended) you can also “ingest” a few fiddle loops (9 out of 10 doctors recommend fiddle loops as part of a healthy diet). If you do one or more of those things, be sure to come by & say howdy!
